Our Story | Bridging the Implementation Gap
In early 2026, after 15 years of work supporting governments and development partners across more than 40 countries, Blaise Murphet convened a select cohort of safe and sustainable transport practitioners with direct experience in delivering safe and sustainable transport systems through complex government environments – what began as an exploration of our sector’s most pressing challenges evolved into the foundation for Crossroads.
We saw a critical gap: the challenge was not a lack of technical knowledge, but the ability to operationalise it within the realities of government cycles and local constraints. Crossroads was born from a shared purpose: to close the gap between what is known to work and what is actually delivered on streets and roads.

We are a team of builders, not observers. We are former government executives shaped by real implementation scars, international road safety practitioners who adapt global best practices to local contexts, and public policy and governance specialists who put people at the heart of every project.
